Alright, boyfriends everywhere - take note...this is a story with a beautiful ending.
A regular at Stories Coffeehouse had a pretty awesome surprise planned for his girlfriend, who happened to also be a regular at Stories Coffeehouse. I was helping out at Stories on a Thursday, my day to help out as a business owner, when a phone call came in. We didn't have a lot of information but we knew a man wanted to drop by flowers before picking up his girlfriend and bringing her to Stories to propose to her, obviously as a surprise. This (above) is the setting the staff helped create with Mike's flowers for Bev. Cozy, right? Romantic even. :-)
I placed myself at the table next to this spot and pretended to be taking notes on some photos I took of the table's centerpiece. They were some pretty fantastic notes! Amazingly, my camera flashing shots and notebook full of phony notes went unnoticed!
Shortly after being seated, Bev noticed the gorgeous flowers next to her. "Oh yeah, there's a note on them too," I heard Mike say. Bev reached up and took the note. She read it and excitedly thanked Mike for the flowers after realizing they were for her.
It was difficult to contain my giddiness since she was so happy and thankful for the flowers and they weren't even the main event!
Now, I'm not sure what the note said but it was meaningful and sweet to the two sweethearts.
How many times have you seen someone get proposed to? It's a pretty awesome event to witness, especially close up. I asked for the happy couple's permission to share some of their photos and story with you guys simply because it was too sweet not to share.
Here is how it went down....
Blessings on your marriage, Mike and Bev! It was such a fun and special experience, and another reason why I love Stories. :-)
